The Christian Service Commission empowers the members of St. Lawrence Parish to fulfill the Church’s mission of love,
justice, freedom and peace by responding, in an organized way, to societal and individual human needs.

Click here to join us in serving our parish community with the St. Lawrence ministry of ushers.

Enjoy light refreshments after all weekend Masses. This is a great way to visit with friends and meet new people.

Luncheons are provided for families of deceased parishioners after the Funeral Mass. The luncheon is prepared and served by volunteers in a spirit of faith and compassion.

Hospitality is provided by volunteers for the many
parish receptions and events.

Bereavement Care provides family members who have lost a loved one with letters of support as well as grief resource materials.

Homebound Ministry serves the homebound of our community with Holy Communion, prayer and fellowship.

Pro Life Group plans activities that promote the defense of life.

Our Health Ministry empowers parishioners to live physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually healthy lives.

Stephen Ministry provides confidential one-to-one
Christian care to people going through a difficult time.

Quilters sew quilts for World Relief, helping people who are suffering from poverty, hunger, disease, war and disaster.

Volunteers serve lunch to the hungry of Detroit.

Homeless guests stay here and are provided with shelter, food, showers, transportation and fellowship.

SVdP provides support to those in need with food,
clothing, furniture and financial assistance.

St. Lawrence Seniors meet twice a month for fellowship, lunch and bingo.

The Women’s Club meets monthly for fellowship and members also coordinate the Parish’s Christmas Giving Tree Program.
